What is the biblical insight about falling in love with someone?

In the very beginning of creation, man was first made and then the woman out of the rib of a man, in other words the woman is coming from a man, so the man and woman have been in one body which is with a man.

Genesis 2:21-23 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh.

22 And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

23 Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”

To fall in love is a way of expressing and describing one’s emotional state when the joyful feelings of what is presumed to be love.

Falling in love is not being specified by the bible, but loving someone is one of the words that is kept in being repeated many times specially in the new testament.

In the bible love is introduced as God, and to love God is a sort of obedience, and to be committed to his commands, than being dealt with emotion

So the bible’s point of view regarding love is very different compared to the love that most of us have known, and we can only prove to God that we love him by loving those who are around us specially your brothers and sisters.

Therefore, not loving your brothers and sisters whom you have seen will be counted by God as not believing in him, for the very simple reason that if you can’t love them whom you have seen, how can then you love God whom you don’t see.

1 John 4:20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen.

There is a mystery behind falling in love, to love is the will of God and it is he who moved us to love, by initiating through being the one who first loved us.

1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

God is the source of all love, if we happened to fall in love, it is the power of God who let us love because God is our first love.

Revelation 2:3-4 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.

4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

So falling in love can be one of the signs even though not all, but mostly that he or she is from the Lord, because a prudent wife is from him.

Proverbs 19:14 House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.
