What is God’s diet recommendation for healthy living?
Note: Since I am using a lot of bible verses in this blog, I would like to inform you that I am a believer of God and I comply the policy and procedure set by God about using his words from the bible. Therefore, I made sure that all verses I used are really coming from the bible, God is strictly commanding us to not to add whatever is on the verse.
Deuteronomy 12:32
32 See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.
Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
 Let us begin.
All of us who are believing in God, have known so well that we are created in a form of soil, and the very first product of creation is our very well-known ancestor Adam.
Genesis 2:7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
And this account has been supported by some scientist that we really came from the dust of the ground, others termed it clay or earth.
All life on Earth may have come from clay according to new scientific research – just as the Bible and even Greek mythology have been suggesting for thousands of years.
The latest theory is that clay – which is at its most basic, a combination of minerals in the ground – acts as a breeding laboratory for tiny molecules and chemicals which it ‘absorbs like a sponge’.
The process takes billions of years, during which the chemicals react to each other to form proteins, DNA and, eventually, living cells, scientists told the journal Scientific Reports.
Biological Engineers from Cornell University’s department for Nanoscale Science in New York state believe clay ‘might have been the birthplace of life on Earth’.
It is a theory dating back thousands of years in many cultures, though perhaps not using the same scientific explanation.
In religious texts from ancient Egypt to Chinese legends, God moulds clay into the shape of man and then breathes life into him through his nostrils.
I am not scientist but I fully believed that my full ingredients as human being created by God is from the dust of the ground, why I believe so?
Because when I die I will become dust and will join back to the ground.

Genesis 1:29
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
God’s first recommended foods are herbs, plants or vegetables, and fruits, that’s why our teeth are designed not for meats but for vegetables in other words vegetarian.
You can see the obvious comparison between herbivorous animals and carnivorous. The teeth of a cow formation is different from the teeth of a lion.
We human beings are designed to be herbivorous, hereby, we have an evenly aligned teeth same with cows., unlike lions and other carnivorous animals, they have fangs to crush flesh or meats.

But God is so powerful that he knows if he will make everybody vegetarian then one day there will be no enough food for all,
that’s why God was allowing the next generation to eat meat as he implied when he gave the next instruction to Adam about what food to eat.
Genesis 9:3
Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
In this verse God is telling Adam that he may eat everything that lives and moves, but still he was reminded for his first recommendation which is green plants.
Actually, to choose to be vegetarian will have a lot of benefits, you will even live longer than meat eaters, but it is not a sin to eat meat, that’s the good thing.
Servants of God like Isaac the son of Abraham, were not vegetarians.
But if you look for tasty food, you can make on vegetable as well, but nothing can compare
with meat especially if you know the right way of cooking to make it tasty,
like Rebekah the wife of Isaac, who prepared him tasty goat meat menu.
Genesis 27:9
9 Go out to the flock and bring me two choice young goats, so I can prepare some tasty food for your father, just the way he likes it.
The one talking here is Rebekah the wife of Isaac who instructed Jacob to bring two young goats.
Again God’s recommended foods are herbs or vegetables and fruits.
If you follow this diet you will surely be away from any risk of cancer, and many other diseases.
Most of the diseases like cancer, tuberculosis, trichinosis, and other dangerous ailments are acquired from eating meats. Medical study suggests:
Red and processed meats do increase health risks.
In spite of what the Annals of Internal Medicine study suggests, Dr. Hu says that an accumulated body of evidence shows a clear link between high intake of red and processed
meats and a higher risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and premature death.
God loves his people, and he knows that letting them eat meats alone are not good for health, that’s why,
he taught them some other food to eat as part of their daily diet, because once they have included them on their daily eating they will not be risking of dangerous diseases.
While reading the bible if you encounter any fruits or vegetables mentioned that means they are the best to eat for healthy diet,
because they are there for a reason, and the reason is beneficial to everybody that believes.
God moved them to a promise land where in there he introduced the other food that they should eat as well, aside from eating meats, and with this, they will not be at risk for diseases.
What are those foods?
Deuteronomy 8:6-8,10
6 Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.
7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and
deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills;
8 a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey;
10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.
So let us examine one by one, the benefits of these foods, where they can find in the good land that God is taking them.
WHEAT-Enriched wheat flour may be a good source of iron, thiamine, niacin, calcium, and
vitamin B6, in addition to the above nutrients.
SUMMARY Whole wheat may be a decent source of several vitamins and minerals,
including selenium, manganese, phosphorus, copper, and folate.
BARLEY– is a very healthy grain. It’s rich in vitamins, minerals and other beneficial plant
compounds. It’s also high in fiber, which is
responsible for most of its health benefits,
ranging from a better digestion to reduced
hunger and weight loss.
 VINES– In addition, the fruit of the vine appears to boost levels of HDL, the “good”
cholesterol, and helps prevent LDL, or bad cholesterol, from causing damage to the lining of arteries.
 FIGS- are high in natural sugars, minerals and soluble fibre. Figs are rich in minerals
including potassium, calcium, magnesium,
iron and copper and are a good source of
antioxidant vitamins A and K that
contribute to health and wellness.
POMEGRANATES– Pomegranate juice contains higher levels of antioxidants than most other
fruit juices. It also has three times more
antioxidants than red wine and green tea.

Samuel 6:19
19 Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each person in the whole crowd of Israelites, both men and women. And all the people went to their homes.

These foods have made the people of God healthy and strong, but it still didn’t make them live as long as the lives of their ancestors.
The people of God of those days were have a constant communication with God, and spirit is with them, . Therefore, they had an extraordinary life span of age.
Adam lived a total of 930 years and then he died.
Seth lived a total of 912 years and then he died.
Enosh lived a total of 905 years and then he died.
Kenan lived a total of 910 years and then he died.
Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years and then he died.
Jared lived a total of 962 years and then he died.
Enoch lived a total of 365 years and then he died.
Methuselah lived a total of 969 years and then he died.
Lamech lived a total of 777 years and then he died.
Noah lived a total of 950 years and then he died.
Because of the wickedness of the world God ended up the life of the wicked people through
flood during the time of Noah.
There was only 8 people left in the world
including Noah himself, his wife, his three
sons, and three in laws.
And it was then when the life span of people was dramatically decreased, as God said.
Genesis 6:3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”
It was also then when God clearly giving an instruction to them to eat meats with the condition of not eating with blood in it.
God’s Covenant With Noah
Genesis 9:1-4 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.
2 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands.
3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
So for our daily diet program, you can be vegetarian which is good, or you can mix the diet vegetables and meats,
for as long as all those fruits and vegetables mentioned in the bible should be part of your daily diet.
But everything should always be in moderation, like honey, even if it’s good for health but if you eat a lot of it, will have a bad side effect for health.
Side effects of eating too much honey
1. Can Cause Stomach Cramping, Constipation, Bloating Etc.
2. Increases Blood Sugar Level In Our Body
3. Malfunctioning Of Gastrointestinal Tract
4. Can Lead To Weight Gain
5. Should Be Avoided By People With Low Blood Pressure
6. Not Suitable For People With Allergies
7. Increases Risk of Bleeding
8. Erode Enamel Of Teeth And Cause Cavities
9. Might Cause Insulin Insensitivity
We had just known it lately that honey is not good if too much, but the bible which was
written about 5000 years ago because Jewish calendar is now 5780 years comparing to our 2020 years, is already giving us information about it.
Proverbs 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey, nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory.
So eating too much is not being recommended by God, as a matter of fact, he put more
emphasis on fasting.
Now we have discovered through the bible that the healthiest diet ever is the one which can be found in the bible.
There are many more facts about bible when it comes to dieting, but I can’t put all of them just in one blog or else it will be too long.
Anyway, as a bonus for visiting my site, I will add jut one more healthy diet, which God had taught to Moses to teach to the people, and make sure you will have it as well in your daily food.
This was written in the bible for the intention to remind the people that it should be part of the diet for healthy living.
Numbers 11:5 We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic.
Let us examine as well one by one the benefits of these foods to our health.
Fish is a low-fat high quality protein. Fish is filled with omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins
such as D and B2 (riboflavin). Fish is rich in
calcium and phosphorus and a great
source of minerals, such as iron, zinc,
iodine, magnesium, and potassium.
CUCUMBER They are low in calories but contain many important vitamins and minerals, as
well as a high water content. Eating
cucumbers may lead to many potential
health benefits, including weight loss,
balanced hydration, digestive regularity
and lower blood sugar levels.
MELON They are dense in antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients, and are a storehouse of
health benefits. From boosting healthy
eyesight, regulating blood pressure,
increasing blood flow to immunity, melons
make for an extremely healthy addition to
your diet. They are perhaps one of the
oldest fruits known to mankind.
LEEKS Why leeks are good to eat?
Leeks are a good source of vitamins A, C
and K (important for helping your blood to
clot). They also contain minerals such as
iron (which is important for red blood cells)
and manganese (involved in the regulation
of brain and nerve function). Leeks are
also a good source of dietary fibre.
Onions contain antioxidants and compounds that fight inflammation, decrease triglycerides
and reduce cholesterol levels — all of
which may lower heart disease risk. Their
potent anti-inflammatory properties may
also help reduce high blood pressure and
protect against blood clots.
GARLIC Consuming garlic on a daily basis (in food or raw) helps to lower cholesterol levels
because of the anti-oxidant properties of
Allicin. It is also immensely beneficial to
regulate blood pressure and blood sugar

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.

We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic.
Have you noticed why there is no bread, potato, and rice in this menu? Because God who is powerful knows that sugar is not good for our health.
Potato, rice, and bread are all sugar in a form of glucose.
And that particular menu is representing a lesser meal portion, because eating fish,
cucumbers, melons, leeks, with onions and garlic will boost your leptin and it will make you
feel full very fast and not getting hungry very soon, and as a result, you will lose weight and
at the same time very healthy.
that’s the healthiest diet ever according to the bible.
